The Death of a Loved One

Março 8, 2020 by Natacha

I thought it would be important for me to share a personal matter that happens to us all.

Both my grandmothers died within the space of two weeks from each other, just a few weeks ago. As sad and as difficult as it was, it was also important to explain to my 5 years old what had happened and walk her, myself and my parents through the process of grieving.

Truth be told… Parents lying to the child

Março 8, 2020 by Natacha

“Mommy, what happened to my daddy, why don’t I have a dad like the other children?” asks Rachel who is four years old.

It’s a very long article, so I recommend saving it into your favourite reader, like Pocket (https://getpocket.com/), for when you have 20 minutes free with a good cuppa coffee.

Scary thunder Sleepless nights

Março 8, 2020 by Natacha

Your night is calm and restful and thank goodness finally getting cooler as the wind starts blowing through the night hopefully bringing in some rain clouds which we have been looking forward to with the heat we have been having. But it doesn’t come unnoticed, a slight rumble in the distance and then – BANG! I think all the children (and pets) in the neighbourhood were frightened and woken up by the thunder and parents woken up by the calling of fearful children and downpour of rain. Things that can be done in preparation for these wet and thunderous nights:
