SOCIAL DISTANCING ACTIVITIES: still keeping the fun, interaction and connection going.

Junho 16, 2020 by Natacha Latouf

Social distancing as we know it now is to prevent the spread of the virus. We have to come to accept that. But we are humans and the primary function of survival in humans is having a social connection and interaction with others. We rely on a foundation of relationships but social distancing is disrupting our social connections and this disconnection is spreading something other than the virus… emotional distress and trauma within ourselves.

The New Normal

Maio 7, 2020 by Natacha Latouf

“The New Normal”……..This is now a common term you have been hearing. I experienced this new normal phasing in with the wearing of masks, since I’ve been back at work. Going to the shops and seeing more and more people wearing the masks (now mandatory). It is becoming more normal or easier to go out with a mask, compared to the beginning when there was the odd person here and there wearing a mask.

I have been thinking to myself, when going back into the real world…..will we remember how “to be” with one another again? There will be a change in the mannerism of social skills. We won’t be able to approach each other as what we were used to or what was the norm THEN. We now have to adjust to a new way of greeting, no more handshakes or hugs (even for affection or support). We have to learn to read what is “told”, from our eyes only.

You have probably realised too, how difficult those maths problems are, and trying to understand science and its methods and formulas, is very complicated. It feels like you’ve gone back to school and you’ve realised how much you have forgotten (and how much you don’t miss).

Last weeks Facebook Live Q&A, was a very difficult one, a heavy one. The few people that were on were disclosing their fears about their jobs and their finances. I felt helpless, as there was nothing I could say, but……… “Take one step at a time.”

So I decided today I am going to post all the necessary contacts for you regarding Relief-Funding-Loans and for those who are in Social Distress situations.

Abril 15, 2020 by Natacha Latouf

I know you have probably been bombarded with information on how to “survive” this lockdown and possibly getting frustrated and irritated with information overload on COVID-19 and what to do or not to do to keep you safe, or you possibly getting tired of reading the same kind of information over and over again, and get quite bored or flustered with- “How to survive lockdown”.
